MOMO

MOMO aims to create a self-assembling lunar habitat to support Artemis crews. The design is driven by two main objectives: maximizing the efficiency of flat-packing the habitat into Starship HLS cargo space and ensuring modularity. Each module consists of an aluminum frame and a high-density polyethylene membrane that provides radiation protection. Modules offer built-in storage and can be customized for different functions — such as an airlock, window, PV panel, work desk, or exercise unit. In the event of a breach, individual modules can be replaced without needing to swap out the entire habitat.
