Bulbul is named after Bahrain's beloved national bird and reimagines a simple bird bath as a poetic urban intervention. Designed for bulbuls seeking relief from the country's intense heat, the sculpture is crafted entirely from industrial waste. Discarded metal pipes from a local factory were repurposed, while melted scrap aluminum was cast into custom connectors that transform the pipes into a tree-like structure. Suspended along these branches, small basins offer places for birds to bathe and drink. From waste to art, Bulbul brings life, water, and beauty back into the city — one perch at a time.
